Why did you start working with this medium?
在作者的感知里，玻璃具有通透的品格，总是能使人们的思想脱离物质世界而达到非物质的飘渺区域——传达隐喻的一种介质。同时，玻璃通过散射折光散发着它暗示的能量，造就的一面本身就是一种抽象的美。
In my perception, glass has a special quality—transparency,
which leads our thoughts from the material world to the spiritual area. It is
the media to express the metaphor. Meanwhile, glass implies its energy via
refraction and scattering. The glass itself is also an abstract way of beauty.
你的创作灵感源于何方？
What inspires you in your work?
玻璃作品往往充满着虚与实的禅义，材料语义和作者本身的中国文化背景重叠，可以说，创作离不开作者的文化背景与个人性格，比如作者对诗词、国画的喜爱，对通透的敏感，作者感受中国画意境中气韵的传达，在作品创作中追求简单的，同时并不缺乏深刻的感受。
Glass artworks always combine the concept of emptiness and
fullness. The overlap of the glass language and my Chinese background leads to
the inspiration of the artworks. My cultural background and personality could
be found in my work, for instance, my love to poetry and Chinese paintings, my
sensitive to transparency and my understanding of Chinese ink. I pursue the
simplicity in my work, and the deep feelings as well.
在作品创作中，你通常使用哪些技法？有没有采用一些新技术来创作？
What techniques do you use? Are there new techniques you are
working with?
创作中，作者通常使用的是玻璃的直接铸造和失蜡铸造技术，在铸造过程中也会在温度设定时追求一些特殊的效果。
I usually use the direct molding skill and dewaxing
casting in my creation. I also seeking for some special effect when setting the
temperature.
你的创作受哪位艺术家影响最深？他在哪些方面影响了你？
Which artists have influenced you the most? How?
